Asked
Questions
1
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, I am an out-of-network provider. You can contact your insurance company to find out if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. I can provide a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I am happy to discuss a sliding scale, upon request.

Do you offer couples or family counseling?
Generally, I offer individual, adult therapy. A client may want to invite a family member or partner to one or two therapy sessions, if it's relevant to treatment. However, the focus remains on the client.
3
Do you offer online sessions?
Absolutely. Sessions can be completely online, in person, or a combination. It's whatever works best for you! Online sessions are available through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform.
4
How long are sessions?
Sessions are generally an hour. However, if we have arranged for it beforehand, a session could be longer.
5
How frequent are sessions?
When a client is starting therapy, I strongly recommend weekly appointments. This gives you the opportunity to truly get to know your parts, develop healthy, trusting relationships with them, and to learn the skills you need to achieve your goals. When clients meet less frequently at the beginning of therapy, they tend to lose focus and forget to use skills in between sessions. It's very hard to make any progress in this way. Once you start to really "own" your skills, a less frequent meeting schedule totally makes sense.
6
How long should I expect to need therapy?
The answer to this question really depends on the person, their therapeutic goals, and their personal history. But when we meet, we will create goals that work for you, and we will continue honing them as we go along at your own unique pace.
